An oldie but a goodie

That'll buff right out.

Ok....I like Metallica...I've been known to listen to Slayer...

Pantera, Dio, Iron Maiden, Megadeath, even Korn....

But I think this is just too much Metal for me

[ insert google-eyed face here ]

So in an effort to get "down" the level of metal I'm used to...

A monday morning physics lesson.

Devilled eggs have a viscous base to them. Combining this viscous base with the smooth surface of a plate can be dangerous. If you do not use a material suitable for containing said eggs on the plate, the first turn out of your cul-de-sac can cause devilled eggs to go everywhere inside your truck. In turn, your truck will stink of devilled eggs the next morning during your drive to work.

This bit popped into my head, and I thought I'd share.

Time to buy a lottery ticket....

Most people, when their water heater blows, "lose" about 50 gallons of water all over the floor. Mine burped about 5 gallons. Guns, Computers, and Photography stock are all safe. Guess I get to learn about installing a water heater this weekend....

The party of Unity and Diversity....

Where do I sign up? I don't have to have any loyalty to the party to be a member right?

Up yer butt Jo-Bu!

So, something was brought to my attention. Now, I'm a pretty big movie buff and can name a lot of people and what they've been in. I can also quote the crap out of movies until people are completely sick of me. I'm rarely surprised when I find out that a particual actor was in something I hadn't thought of.

This time, I was.

So, this guy:

That's right, the President from 24

Oh yea, "Snake Doctor" from The Unit

Has a past.....

Well, I'm glad "Candy - Gate" is over!

WHEW! Was worried there for a minute that the world was coming to an end. What am I talking about you ask?

That's right, skittles.

Well, out in Connecticut, some 8th grade kid bought a bag of skittles from another classmate. It would appear that this was against the rules at the school under their districts "Wellness Policy". So, as a punishment, the kid is stripped of his title as class vice president, barred from going to an honors banquet (the kid is an honor student), and suspended for a day.

Mark Levin was screaming all about this last night on his show and I guess, the whole world has been up in arms about the whole thing.

Well, It's being reported on CNN.com that the school has decided clear the boy's record.

Now that this mess is all over with, can we get back to worrying about the writers strike or something?

Can't possibly be anything more important going on in the world...

Can there?

Can't be...

siGH

I think I really hate these guys....

Just how long does it take for a beard to grow back?

I'd like my chin back please

MOTHERF#$@% BONES ON A PLANE!

I guess wierder things have happened....

Woman Tries to Bring Skeleton on Plane
MUNICH, Germany
(AP) - A woman was stopped at Munich airport after baggage control handlers
found the skeleton of her brother sealed in a plastic bag in her luggage, police
said Wednesday.
The 62-year-old woman and her 63-year-old friend, who both
live in Italy, were hauled in by airport police Tuesday after a scan of the bag
showed a human
skull
and other bones. The women were traveling to Italy from Brazil.
It
turned out, however, that the woman was simply trying to fulfill the last wish
of her brother—who died 11 years ago in Sao
Paulo
, Brazil—to be buried in Italy.
The travelers produced the
appropriate papers from Brazilian authorities for the unusual transport, and
were allowed to carry on their way to Naples—bones and all.

Seriously, what is it about AC/DC and "Money Talks"

Sitting on my lap, playing...

I put on AC/DC, by the time Money Talks plays, she's out like a light.

Microsoft and Nortel Update Integrated Communications Alliance Progress

So, yea, it's pretty cool to read about something you worked pretty hard on is coming to fruition.

eWeek Article: Microsoft and Nortel Update Integrated Communications Alliance Progress

A snippet (warning, nerd content inside) :

"The new Nortel Converged Office integrates the functions of Nortel’s Communications Server 1000 IP PBX with Microsoft’s Office Communications Server 2007. The UC Integrated Branch integrates Microsoft’s OCS 2007 mediation server functions and Session Initiation Protocol gateway into Nortel’s Secure Router 4134."

My deepest apologies...

To anyone that may have seen yesterday's "Ken Lee" post. I am also having troubles getting that damned song out of my head.

So, in an effort to help, I offer this:

Ken Lee

My wife has heard a similar singing style when I am in the shower doing my best Steve Perry impression...

Some day I'll learn the words

Death Camp for Kitty

It would appear that in prep for the up coming Olympics in Beijing, the Chinese .gov has taken what they do best with their own people and put a spin on it.
Instead of places for dissenters to disappear to... They have created Kitty death camps. An article I found on drudge:
Describes how they are rounding the kitties up by the hundreds of thousands to be exterminated. Amidst a warning from the Chinese government that there could be diseased kitties anywhere. Residents are dumping their cats on the streets and some are being beaten to death in fear of the apparent disease. Along with this clean up process, the government is shutting down or moving industrial factories in order to try and clean up the city prior to the Olympics.
The whole thing reads like an article about what was found in post WWII Germany, but about cats.
The question this fresh faced blogger has.... When the city is all cleaned up, will anyone really believe that it's always been that way? Nobody does spin, quite like the communists.

I got a hair cut...

..Ok, I got all of them cut. I was working from home on Friday and got a wild hair (a few actually) and said to myself; "Self, You haven't seen your face in about 10 years. Let's shave it all off and see what it looks like"

Well, now that I've seen it, I'm going to put it back where I found it. The wife is none to impressed either.

So, here's what I look like when I'm 16 instead of 30.

A small rant on bodilly functions...

I hate it when you sneeze and you KNOW a big freakin' booger shot out, but when you look you can't find it. I'll notice it later, I'm sure. When someone else is in my office and they ask "WTF is that" pointing at the top of my monitor or something.....
Happy Monday.

Can we actually have a "Nice" election this year?

So, I'm not a McCain fan boy, but I'll stump for him as he has the Republican nod. One thing I can say so far about him, is that he seems to be running a pretty clean campaign. He didn't try a lot of mud slinging or name calling, just stuck to what his platform was.

Now on to the OTHER side of the election. I'm no Hillary fan, I have no love for her. I have no desire to ever meet her or see her in office. As for Obama, I feel the same way. This all has to do with core principals in which I disagree with them on. NOW, that being said, I kinda hope Obama wins the nomination of his party. Of the two, he seems to be, again, running a cleaner campaign. Sure, he's cried about his middle name being used, and a few other things, but that's just being a democrat. They are bound to get offended at things. Otherwise he's stuck to his "Platform" (not much of one, but still)

It sure would be nice, this election year, to see the two candidates face off and talk about the issues. Not who did what when they were 15 and who didn't do who when they were married.

So, now I have a blog....

And nobody knows about it, and I can't think of a single thing to say.

I'm sure I'll think of something.
